The file I/O operation is demonstrated on the DT402EB board connected to the PC through the HPI-USB 1.1 or HPI-USB2 adapter.

PC GUI operation

Controls description:

Find - check for connected HPI interfaces
Open/Close - Connect or disconnect to selected interface
8-bit mode - Used for ZSP403, 8 bit HPI
Enable auto receive on start - autoinitialize operation, everytime application is started
Browse/Load - not implemented
Show stdout - enable separate panel for ZSP stdout display
Show timestamp - three states: off, absolute, relative
AutoOff/Words/Bytes - control HPI-USB monitor for receiving data from ZSP
Clear - clear dialog panels
Read/Write value - single shot access to the HPI

ZSP application

The sample ZSP application is distributed with the ZView version 1.1.0 or later. The project HpiFileIo is a simple test application utilizing hpidev library (included as another project), and built into the ZSP runtime libraries features of redirecting stdout/stderr streams.
The ZSP application will aut-detect presence of the HPI adapter, and if it is not found, it will use JTAG emulator access routines. File I/O redirection mechanism allows for implementation of different data transfer methods, where used here HPI is just an example.
