Description

Measuring 3 inches by 2 inches, EB403LC is designed around the ZSP 403LC chip (128-pin PQFP), and is perfect for those who wished for a cheaper, more compact version of the ZSP 403LP evaluation board.

EB403LC has 4 individual LEDs controlled via PIO, which can be used for status information or debugging. An integrated USB controller with 8-bit HPI interface is on board, making it possible to load programs and start/stop the 403LC by simply plugging a USB cable into the board. In fact, the board may be powered via the USB port if the power draw is less than 300mA! (A 5V power supply can be used for more power-hungry systems.)

An optional JTAG header is available for debugging with external JTAG emulators, as well.

Not only is this board convenient, but it is versatile, too! A 20-pin serial port with standard SPORT pin-out makes the EB403LC a systems-debugging platform, as various daughtercards may be stacked on top to create solutions for different problem domains. Here are a few examples:

• Add a DTSLIC2L telephony daughterboard to create a complete two-line VOIP demonstration system.
• Add a  DT4218DB audio daughterboard to create a 2 channel audio test system with stereo audio input and output
